So what are the differences in usage between chain plate conveyors and mesh belt conveyors? Differences between chain plate conveyors and mesh belt conveyors: 1. Chain plate conveyors are suitable for transporting materials with small sizes and regular shapes, while mesh belt conveyors are suitable for transporting materials with irregular shapes. 2. Chain plate conveyors use chain plates as the conveyor belt, which is why they are mainly used for industrial transportation. Mesh belt conveyors use mesh belts as the conveyor belt, and thus they are primarily employed in the food industry as well as in drying and cleaning processes. 3. Both types of conveyors can be used in high-temperature or acidic/alkaline environments, but mesh belt conveyors are more commonly chosen for drying and cleaning purposes. The materials used for manufacturing chain plates and mesh belts are the same; both carbon steel and stainless steel are chosen based on the specific application environment. 4. The belt conveyor can operate at medium to high speeds when transporting materials, while the chain plate conveyor operates at very low speeds. 5. The materials transported by belt conveyors are generally lightweight, resulting in low noise and low costs during transportation. On the other hand, chain plate conveyors are suitable for transporting large and heavy materials, and they have a longer service life than belt conveyors.
