Precautions for using reagents in micro moisture meters: 1. The newly replaced reagent is dark brown; when it is used for sample measurement, the instrument displays an excessive iodine level. Measurement cannot be carried out at this time; an appropriate amount of pure water must be added to adjust the reagent equilibrium point. First, 90 microliters of pure water can be injected using a 100-microliter injector. When the color of the reagent becomes significantly lighter, it is necessary to pay attention to controlling the amount of sample added until a water-passing state is reached. 2. To ensure that the measurement results are more accurate and reliable, we recommend adding 5 microliters of pure water once the new reagent has reached the aqueous state. Once the instrument reaches an equilibrium point, it can then be used for calibration and sample measurement. 3. If the instrument has not been used for a long time, gently shake the electrolyte cell bottle a few more times before using it again; this will help the reagents absorb the moisture from the bottle walls more quickly, allowing the instrument to reach equilibrium sooner. 4. During normal testing, every 100 milliliters of reagent can react with no less than 0.4 grams of water. If the measurement time is too long and the reagent’s sensitivity decreases, a new reagent should be used. 5. If the reagent in the electrolytic cell begins to produce a large number of bubbles during the electrolysis process, or if the reagent becomes contaminated and turns light reddish-brown, the blank current will increase, the reproducibility of the measurements will decline, and the time required to reach the endpoint will lengthen. In such cases, the reagent should be replaced immediately. 6. Be careful not to inhale or touch the reagents with your hands. If it comes into contact with the skin, rinse it thoroughly with clean water immediately. 7. The reagents are corrosive; please store them properly.
