Drums are often used in roller conveyor systems, playing an important role in the transportation of products within manufacturing processes. They are typically placed in production areas, which means they are frequently exposed to dust, impurities, and pollutants. Over time, dirt can accumulate on their surfaces. So what are the hazards associated with dirty drums? 1. Production accidents are likely to occur; dirt on the surface of the drum can easily cause the drum on the conveyor to stop functioning, reducing its efficiency and shortening its service life. 2. It affects the production efficiency of the drum; dirt on the drum surface can lead to abnormal shutdowns, causing interruptions in the production process and thus reducing efficiency. 3. Dirt on the surface of the drum increases its wear and tear; such dirt can easily cause damage to the machinery, especially when there is a large amount of dirt. This leads to unstable mounting of the drum, a loose structure, significant swinging, and noise, all of which increase wear and raise the cost of replacing the drum. To reduce these hazards, it is necessary to regularly clean the pollutants around the drum as well as the dirt on its surface. It is absolutely unacceptable to continue using it without cleaning it first, as this can easily lead to serious problems.
