1. At startup, ensure that the clutch lever is in the correct position. 2. If the electric valve is to be controlled from the control room, set the toggle switch to the REMOTE position, and then control the opening and closing of the electric valve through the SCADA system. 3. If manual control is used, set the toggle switch to the LOCAL position and operate the electric valve locally; it will stop working automatically once the valve is fully opened or closed. Finally, set the operation toggle switch to the middle position. 4. When operating the valve on-site, it is necessary to monitor the valve’s opening and closing indicators as well as the movement of the valve stem; the degree of opening and closing of the valve must meet the specified requirements. 5. When using on-site operation to fully close the valve, the electric closing mechanism should be stopped before the valve reaches its fully closed position, and fine adjustment should be used instead to close the valve completely. 6. For valves that have had their travel and over-torque controllers adjusted, when opening or closing the valve fully for the first time, it is necessary to monitor its control of travel. If the valve does not stop at the desired position, an immediate manual emergency shutdown should be carried out. 7. During the process of opening and closing the valve, if the signal indicator light shows incorrect readings or if the valve makes abnormal noises, the machine should be stopped immediately for inspection. 8. After the operation is successful, the power supply to the electric valve should be turned off. 9. When operating multiple valves simultaneously, attention should be paid to the sequence of operations, and the requirements of the production process must be met. 10. When opening a larger-diameter valve equipped with a bypass valve, if there is a large pressure difference across the valve, the bypass valve should be opened first to regulate the pressure, before opening the main valve; once the main valve is open, the bypass valve should be closed immediately. 11. When sending in or taking out pig balls (devices), the ball valves through which they pass must be fully open. 12. Ball valves, gate valves, globe valves, and butterfly valves should only be operated in the fully open or fully closed position; they must not be used for regulation purposes. 13. When operating gate valves, globe valves, and plug valves, turn them 1/2 to 1 full turn when closing or opening them to the top or bottom dead center.
