Manufacturing of support partitions for ion resin glue exchange towers

The inner diameter of the ion resin column is 2400 mm, and the imported resin filled in it has a particle size of around 0.38–0.55 mm. Backwashing was carried out using sulfuric acid; it was found in the early stage that the support plates were corroded and perforated, resulting in resin leakage.
At this stage, material selection and design are required; could any experienced colleagues offer some guidance? I tried using screen printing, but due to process pressures and material issues, it was not possible to effectively seal the resin!
The support partitions of the ion exchange resin tower need to be made of corrosion-resistant materials, such as stainless steel or special plastics, to prevent corrosion caused by sulfuric acid backwashing. The perforation issue may be due to the support plate’s material not being corrosion-resistant enough or having insufficient thickness; it needs to be inspected and replaced with a more suitable material or design. At the same time, ensure that the pore size of the support plate is sufficient to stabilize the resin particles and prevent leakage. .
