I would like to ask the experts: Our company has 304 stainless steel tanks that have been corroded by citric acid. What kind of coatings could be used to address this issue? It’s urgent
If it can be replaced, there’s no need to think of using anti-corrosion paint
What exactly is the process? If it can’t be changed and coatings have to be used, how about vinyl resin?
If it can be replaced, it would be better to use a plastic material or one with a plastic lining; also, what are the operating conditions?

Citric acid is a strong organic acid with chemical properties similar to dilute hydrochloric acid; therefore, the use of polymer materials can solve this problem. Such as anti-corrosion coatings using epoxy systems or epoxy-modified systems.
