Urgently needed: How to calculate the equipment corrosion rate? What is the formula? ? ? ? ?
This is something that safety regulations require companies to establish, and it is calculated based on an inspection of the corrosion status of existing equipment. Based on (original thickness - current thickness) / corrosion allowance
The corrosion rates are determined through years of testing. To reduce the amount of time required for such tests, multiple solutions are combined and tests are conducted on a relative basis based on the order of magnitude of the active ions, after which estimates are made. The resulting corrosion rates are values that are relatively close to the actual results; there is no mathematical formula for calculating them
