I am currently designing a type of door whose main structural components are carbon steel weldments. The environment in which this door will be used is quite special, as there is a constant concentration of phosphine gas there; it is an acidic gas that has a strong corrosive effect on steel. I am looking for an anti-corrosion coating that will prevent the door from being corroded. I would like to ask everyone for advice: what kind of paint is suitable? (I can’t find any methods specifically designed to deal with hydrogen phosphide gas corrosion online either)
To address the corrosion issue of metal equipment in an environment filled with phosphine gas, the following methods can be employed: 1. Choose materials with strong corrosion resistance: When designing doors, it is possible to use materials that are not easily corroded by phosphine gas, such as stainless steel or alloy steel. This can reduce the likelihood of the door being corroded. 2. Apply special coatings: Since no anti-corrosion coating specifically designed to resist hydrogen phosphide corrosion is available, you can consider using coatings with strong acid resistance, such as acid-resistant coatings or polyester coatings. These coatings can provide good corrosion resistance and slow down the rate of corrosion on metal surfaces. 3. Apply anti-corrosion treatment: During the design of doors, the metal surface can be given special anti-corrosion treatments, such as electroplating, hot-dip galvanizing, or applying a layer of epoxy resin. These treatment methods can form a protective layer that shields the metal surface from external corrosive factors. In summary, using coatings with strong acid resistance or applying special anti-corrosion treatments can effectively protect metal equipment from being corroded by phosphine gas. It is best to consult professional materials science or chemical engineers during the design process to obtain more detailed advice and technical support. .
If carbon steel material is used, a coating method can be employed.
May I ask what the operating temperature is?
