Building on the previous background regarding uniform corrosion of aluminum alloys, a protection system can be developed from multiple perspectives. The key measures are as follows: proper material selection – it is advisable to use aluminum alloy grades such as those in series 5 and 6, which have better corrosion resistance; by adjusting the composition of these alloys, their ability to resist uniform corrosion can be enhanced at the material level, thereby meeting the requirements of different corrosion environments. Enhanced surface treatment involves using anodization to artificially thicken and solidify the oxide film, or applying methods such as electrostatic powder coating or fluorocarbon spraying to create a uniform and dense physical protective layer on the surface, thereby preventing contact between corrosive agents and the substrate and significantly slowing down the corrosion process. Coating protection and isolation: A composite coating system consisting of an epoxy resin primer combined with a weather-resistant topcoat is used to completely isolate the aluminum alloy substrate from the external environment. Such coatings exhibit strong adhesion as well as excellent water resistance and corrosion resistance, making them suitable for various demanding operating conditions such as industrial acid rain and high humidity in coastal areas. Environmental and process control: Prevent aluminum alloys from coming into direct contact with highly corrosive substances such as strong acids and strong bases for extended periods. Control the concentration of corrosive substances in the environment during processing and use, and add appropriate corrosion inhibitors to the contact media when necessary to slow down the rate of corrosion. Structure and operation optimization: During the design phase, proper drainage planning for the components should be carried out to prevent the accumulation of water over time. Additionally, the surface of the aluminum alloy should be cleaned regularly to remove any accumulated salt or dirt, thus maintaining the integrity of the protective layer and extending the service life of the components.
