Feed components of a distillation tower; it’s not clear what substances M4EZ and BBENZENE represent – please advise, experts! I would like to thank everyone here first:handshake
Thank you very much for your guidance. I would like to ask where I can find abbreviations for these substances; I searched on Baidu for a long time yesterday but found no results. Also, what is PNBZ? Someone said yesterday that it is n-butylbenzene, which means it’s butylbenzene, right?
They’re all experts; I really don’t understand these things. The data refers to the feed components of the towers provided by the design institute, and it’s all in English. I can translate most of it, but there are some abbreviations for substances that I can’t find anywhere using Baidu or Google – it’s frustrating (ˇˍˇ)!
M generally represents methyl, and EB is the abbreviation for ethylbenzene.
The names are still assigned according to the specifications.
But it’s M4EZ up there, not M4EB, right?

In the section for entering components in PROII, select the database (SIMSCI Bank) and the search method (SIMSCI Name/Alias) as shown in the diagram; enter your abbreviation, and you will be able to see the full name of the component along with its molecular formula
Thank you so much for your help. I had thought of this method as well, but unfortunately I don’t have the PROII software. Could you please help me find out what substance PNBZ is in the table? Thank you first
