The construction drawings, which have been designed, checked, and reviewed, still require a coordination signature to correct any errors in the dimension markings. Why are such basic drawing dimensioning errors so widespread?
Why can drinking water burn? Why do people choke while eating? Why wasn’t the toilet flushed after using it? . . .
Small mistakes are inevitable; we’re all human, and it’s really impossible to make no mistakes. The purpose of proofreading is to minimize errors as much as possible, though it is not possible to eliminate them entirely. Please understand
Do you know how many times something needs to be marked on a diagram? Do you know how many images need to be produced for one batch? Do you know how many hours a day one has to work continuously? Do you know how many days in a row it has to be done?
No one is perfect. No one is perfect; who can be without faults?
The design office is full of people; whether it’s for designing, checking, or reviewing, attention is focused only on the most critical aspects related to procurement. Moreover, the current situation in China does not allow those responsible for checking and reviewing to devote too much time and effort to the drawings. These errors are mainly the result of the designers’ own mistakes.
Right, designers are also human beings – who can stay error-free?
1. After the design is completed, no careful inspection is carried out, or no inspection is done at all, and it is simply sent to proofreading; 2、Lack of careful proofreading, or just a quick glance ; 3. The review and approval focus mainly on whether there are any major errors; the details within are generally not examined. The reason for this situation is either an overly tight schedule or a poor work attitude. Of course, mistakes are inevitable, but too many such mistakes become a problem.
