Dear marine friends, in order to help everyone learn the *ProII process simulation software better – so that beginners can gain knowledge and experienced users can refresh their skills – we are launching a series of activities titled “Making Progress Every Day” for learning the basics of ProII. Since I use Aspen Plus/Hysys more frequently in my daily work, I have not studied ProII software systematically; therefore, the knowledge I offer might be quite basic. I hope fellow users will provide valuable suggestions and opinions, and actively participate in the discussions. Multiple-choice question: 13. Which of the following statements about the unit model for pressure changes is correct? A. It mainly includes compressors, expanders, pumps, valves, and pipes. B. It simulates single-stage isentropic compression during pressure changes; for multi-stage isentropic compression, it can be simulated using a series of single-stage isentropic compressors. C. Operation mode of the compressor model – Specifying model parameters: discharge pressure, pressure increase, pressure ratio, braking power, and characteristic curve; the corresponding calculated parameter values are: required (generated) power, required (generated) power, required (generated) power, discharge pressure, and required (generated) power. D. The model parameters mainly include: calculation method, cooler, specifications for pressure, work, and head, compression efficiency, outlet temperature, operating speed, reference speed, and thermodynamic methods.
