This article explains how to install version 7.2 on Win10 64-bit. The first step involves identifying the database required for version 7.2; note that version 7.2 must use a 32-bit version of SQL2005 or later, as it cannot be installed otherwise. It’s difficult to install 32-bit SQL on a 64-bit system. First of all, I only studied the installation of SQL2005. Download a 32-bit SQL script for registration on 64-bit WIN7 or WIN10 64-bit systems from the Internet, or use CaiFu to download it. You can add me on WeChat and send wdyyx2008; first, start services such as IIS by following the tutorials available online. After running the script in this post, install SQL2005 for both 86-bit and 32-bit systems. Stop the installation as soon as the screen indicating that SQL cannot run appears. In the 86-language folder on drive C:, locate \Binn; first back up sqlservr.exe, then replace the existing files there with the sqlservr.exe and sqlos.dll files obtained after extraction, for example, in “F:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\Binn”. Find it yourself; it might be under MSSQL.2. Overwrite the existing files with the compatible files from this post and then proceed with the installation. After installation, there will be no errors; restart the computer and then upgrade to SQL2005SP3 or SP4 again. Once completed, the SQL installation is finished; restart the computer. Start the Aspen7.2 installation; after it is complete, restart the computer. This method allows for random Aspen uninstallation and reinstallation without affecting the system.
When the installation displays a screen indicating that it cannot run, do not click Cancel or Retry. After the compatible file overwrites it, simply click Retry again.
