How can a PDMS model file (the current model file format is Nacisworks’ .nwd format) be converted into a PDS file to become a model? (Pipe information is not required; framework equipment and pipe covers are sufficient)! A generous reward will surely be given!
The SP3D software can be used to convert PDMS models into PDS models. The specific steps are as follows: 1. Export the PDMS model as a .dxf file. 2. Open the SP3D software, select File -> Import -> AutoCAD DXF, and import the exported .dxf file into SP3D. 3. Create a new project in SP3D and add the imported PDMS model file to that project. 4. In SP3D, select Model -> Export -> Plant Design System (PDS) Format to export the PDMS model file in PDS format. 5. The exported PDS file can be opened in the PDS software; it contains only information on frame equipment and pipes, without any details related to pipelines.
