Jiangxi Xinlianxin: Making Every Effort to Ensure Fertilizers for Spring Farming Author/Source: Sinochem New Network Date: 2022-03-27 Clicks: 16 It is currently spring farming season, and preparing for farming has become a top priority in agricultural production across the country. As a leading enterprise in the agricultural inputs industry, Henan Xinlianxin Chemical Industry Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Xinlianxin Group”) has made careful efforts to develop the southern market. Its wholly-owned subsidiary, Jiangxi Xinlianxin Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Jiangxi Xinlianxin”), located in the Jishan Industrial Park in Pengze County, Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province, continued to make efforts after the urea production facility came online in 2021. In November 2021, the first phase of Jiangxi Xinlianxin’s fertilizer production facility, with an annual capacity of 200,000 tons of compound fertilizers, was completed and put into operation. The second phase, also with a capacity of 200,000 tons of compound fertilizers, is set to come online in 2022, further enhancing the capacity to ensure supply. To effectively meet the domestic demand for fertilizers during this year’s spring plowing season and ensure proper epidemic control, all employees of Jiangxi Xinlianxin decided to spend the New Year on site. By planning in advance, taking action promptly, and implementing measures timely, they achieved efficient coordination across production, supply, sales, and research, as well as a diversified transportation network involving road, water, and rail routes, thus providing solid support for the smooth progress of spring plowing preparations in China in 2022. Production is at full capacity to meet market demand; from the very beginning it’s a battle, and from the start there’s a race against time. To ensure the stable operation of its urea production system, Jiangxi Xinlianxin began to systematically plan maintenance work in the second half of 2021. As the first mid-term maintenance after 379 days of stable operation over a long period, it serves both as a comprehensive assessment of the quality of project construction and as a foundation for the long-term stable operation of the urea production system in the future. Jiangxi Xinlianxin attached great importance to this task; all of its more than 1,300 employees stayed on site to celebrate the New Year. Overcoming challenges such as tight deadlines, heavy workloads, recurring outbreaks of the pandemic, and cold weather, the company coordinated efforts in various areas including safety and environmental protection, maintenance quality, and logistical support. The personnel involved remained at their posts around the clock, working in shifts without pause, and successfully completed the first major maintenance task for Jiangxi Xinlianxin within 14 days. To ensure an adequate supply of fertilizers for spring plowing in the market during the maintenance period, the company made full use of the capacity of its existing compound fertilizer production facilities while the urea production system was shut down for maintenance, and mobilized the compound fertilizer production system to operate at full capacity. On February 14, the compound fertilizer plant advanced its maintenance schedule to carry out equipment repairs in conjunction with the scheduled maintenance of the urea production system ； On February 25, steam was supplied again for large-scale production, and compound fertilizers followed the trend of \"wheat top-dressing,\" starting production immediately, thereby achieving a high degree of alignment between the company’s production capabilities and market demand. On February 28, the urea production system at Jiangxi Xinlianxin resumed operation. Huang Huiyong, deputy general manager of Jiangxi Xinlianxin, said, “A short break is meant to enable a better start.” Since the urea production system was restarted, all indicators are in good condition, and there is a continuous stream of delivery vehicles. At present, while ensuring proper epidemic prevention and control measures, over 1,300 employees are working with great determination, racing against time and dedicating themselves fully to their tasks, striving to meet the targets regarding the fertilizers needed for spring plowing. ” Through active communication with various parties to ensure smooth logistics, in order to better meet customer needs, Jiangxi Xinlianxin’s logistics department overcame numerous challenges such as recurring outbreaks of the pandemic, restrictions during the Spring Festival, and peak periods of cargo collection. By engaging in active discussions with various stakeholders, the department added ship transportation and container shipping as additional methods of delivery, thereby expanding the company’s logistics options. After the station at Hukou issued orders restricting the loading of goods, careful communication with the station staff was carried out, and ultimately the shipment of the products was completed within four working days, thereby helping to alleviate the pressure related to fertilizer needs for spring plowing in the Nanning area. In 2022, efforts will continue to increase the rate of fully automated online loading, thereby improving operational efficiency and accelerating the delivery of goods. After the Spring Festival, while taking measures to prevent and control the pandemic, the logistics department remained customer-focused and worked to improve its service systems and facilities. The number of vehicles in the company’s general cargo parking lot increased from around 50 per day to over 100 per day. The volume of goods picked up also increased from the usual level of over 1,000 tons per day to a maximum of 3,720 tons per day. Meanwhile, following the successful operation of the TMS logistics system, Jiangxi Xinlianxin proceeded with the development of the WMS system, further enhancing the digital, networked, and intelligent aspects of logistics operations. This effort aims to accelerate the establishment of a modern smart logistics system for the company, ensuring that fertilizer delivery is accurate, efficient, and timely for farmers during spring plowing and at other times of the year. By combining research and development efforts, sufficient resources are made available. Given the diversity and wide distribution of crops in the southern region, Jiangxi Xinlianxin Agrochemical’s R&D team conducted targeted pilot studies on different crops; after achieving good results, these approaches were gradually rolled out on a wider scale. At the current stage, field crops are adopting the side-deep fertilization method ； Focusing on the integrated water and fertilizer management of citrus as a starting point for economic crops, efforts are being made to develop functional products, with the aim of creating high-quality fertilizers suitable for mechanization and facility-based farming, thereby providing farmers with more appropriate products and better services. Facing this important period for spring plowing, Jiangxi Xinlianxin actively mobilized the initiative of its various teams. Based on the actual circumstances, it focused its marketing efforts through various activities such as the \"Customers’ Spring Ordering Event\" and \"Spring Meeting Policies\", and provided farmers with detailed information about the fertilizing effects and usage methods of the company’s products. This helped farmers to cultivate crops in a scientific manner and apply fertilizers correctly, thus laying a solid foundation for a good harvest of crops across different regions this year. To accelerate the implementation of its strategy for expansion southward, in 2022 Jiangxi Xinlianxin’s marketing system utilized big data to establish channels in various regions, focused on developing secondary outlets, and actively worked on building marketing service centers that combined efficient service with operational functions. Shang Dewei, general manager of Jiangxi Xinlianxin, said, “With food in hand, one need not worry.” Jiangxi Xinlianxin will focus on matters of national importance, adhere to the principles of giving priority to production and sustainable development, pursue a development strategy that emphasizes the use of fertilizers while also working to improve soil fertility.
