In a statement issued in March 2026, Hunan Salt Industry Group announced that Tianchen Company had won the bid for the EPCC phase of the design, procurement, construction, and commissioning work related to the synthetic ammonia production at the Hengyang Green Saline-Alkaline Industry Base project. The winning bid amount was 227.4 million yuan. The Hunan Hengyang Green Saline-Alkali Industry Base project was invested and constructed by the Hunan Light Industry Salt Industry Group, with its subsidiary Xuetian Saline-Alkali New Materials Co., Ltd. serving as the main contractor for the construction. Construct a facility with an annual production capacity of 800,000 tons of combined alkali production, 600,000 tons of synthetic ammonia, 500,000 tons of urea, along with supporting cogeneration units. The synthesis of ammonia employs technologies such as the Guizhou Aerospace Maiweiban waste-heat gasifier, isothermal shift reaction, and low-pressure ammonia synthesis.
