I would like to ask: in the MVR (Mechanical Vapor Recompression) process, how is the power of the boiler used to start up the system determined? What factors are related to it? If my heat exchanger for the feed water/distilled water is large enough, or if other requirements are met as well, and there are no special requirements regarding startup time, can I eliminate this startup boiler? If so, what requirements should be met?
The operation is in a cold state; there is no fresh steam being supplied, and the compressor running idle cannot generate heated steam
If the circulation pump keeps running for about two days, it is possible to heat up the water. Once the water is heated, steam and pressure are generated. And once the compressor starts running, the temperature rises more quickly.
While the circulation pump is heating, the mold is also dissipating heat; therefore, the temperature rise should be very slow
I would like to ask here: which factory in China is reliable for producing MVR units? NAcl crystals, (I wouldn’t recommend the two top-quality options as they are too expensive to afford)
It cannot be canceled; the cold material needs to be preheated to the evaporation temperature. The steam compressor will then compensate for the heat loss, and the condensed water resulting from evaporation will also continue to preheat the material. If the insulation performance and compressor efficiency are high, the boiler will need to be used less and less over time, until it is eventually shut down
What you're saying might be some traditional views. Our project currently has three evaporators with a processing capacity of 250 tons per hour, along with one concentrator with a capacity of 15 cubic meters per hour. The operating instructions state clearly that there is no need to install a start-up boiler, unless high requirements are placed on the startup time.
A steam heat source is necessary, not only during the startup process. During operation, the system experiences some degree of heat loss; even with insulation in place, an external heat source will definitely be required for long-term operation, as it’s impossible to achieve zero consumption of external steam. Heating with the circulation pump motor will be very, very slow! :)
