Feasibility Discussion on Low-Temperature Methanol Wash via MDEA Decarburization

Our company currently has a facility for producing LNG by recovering methane from 10,000 tons of methanol off-gases. The use of MDEA for carbon dioxide removal is not effective; the solution lasts at most one month, and the carbon dioxide removal efficiency is poor as well, which prevents an increase in operational load. The original decarburization pressure was 5 MPa, and we now want to switch to low-temperature methanol washing. Can the existing decarburization tower and regeneration tower be reused?
