At present, our company uses three-stage absorption for the treatment of exhaust gases (acidic exhaust gases) from its chemical plants: stage one and two involve water absorption, while stage three involves alkali absorption. In the first exhaust gas absorption tower, water is used for absorption until a certain concentration is reached (Bézier degree greater than 25), after which the resulting solution is used for packaging hydrochloric acid. But now, measuring specific gravity is done using a specific gravity meter; both sampling and analysis are somewhat cumbersome and require a lot of manual labor. I was wondering if anyone could recommend an online refractometer that can be used for monitoring within a DCS system, with the ability to set upper and lower limit alarms.
Check online to see if there are any systems for online density monitoring; I think they must exist, as good flow meters can display density online.

It depends on the level of precision you require. Flowmeters or other types are required depending on the range.
To be honest, measuring Baumé degree with hydrochloric acid is rather strange, and the acidic fumes can easily corrode online hydrometers. Measuring concentration is quite common.
