Regarding the pipeline offset issue

The equipment is equipped with eight sets of steam coil heaters; these eight sets of coils are controlled by a steam control valve. The steam control valve, together with the eight sets of coils, forms a constant-value control system. The outputs from these eight sets of steam coils converge together before returning to the main pipeline, with a steam pressure of 6 MPa. Question: 1. Will sharing one steam control valve and adjusting the equipment temperature to customize the settings for eight groups of tubes cause uneven flow? 2. Should a hydroseparator be added after mixing the eight groups of tubes, or does each of the eight groups require its own hydroseparator? Seeking advice, seeking standards
This post was last edited by ylb913 on 2018-7-14 09:28. The tube side of a heat exchanger usually consists of many tube bundles, each with one inlet and one outlet. In this case, there is a slight flow deviation, but it should not have much impact; presumably a single drain trap can be used.
There should be specific guidelines for this as well; it is advisable to follow the \"general design requirements for piping and instrumentation diagrams of heating furnaces.\" Chemical process design manuals provide requirements regarding the configuration and arrangement of main pipes and branch pipes in order to ensure even flow distribution.
