Can changing the heat treatment process, without altering the composition of austenitic stainless steel castings, modify the ferrite content?

Has anyone tried to determine whether, for austenitic or duplex stainless steels, it is possible to change the ferrite content through heat treatment while keeping the composition unchanged? If that’s possible, then are Chevtu and Delontu not applicable? Thank you
