Backflow generally refers to the case of gas interacting with a gas (or solid) phase; if it is a liquid-liquid situation, backwashing is more appropriate. So which category does yours fall into? Are you worried that gas will be released when the high-pressure liquid is depressurized? The occurrence of this phenomenon is subject to certain conditions; it does not happen just because there is gas and liquid present, along with a certain pressure difference!
