What about the devices surrounding the activated carbon unit? Do they need to be explosion-proof? How is the explosion-proof range determined?
Hello! Under normal circumstances, it is only necessary to ensure that the packaging is intact and protected from moisture. The ignition point of powdered activated carbon is 450°C, and its combustion temperature is 700°C. Explosions seem to have never occurred; the possibility of that is extremely low.

Don’t subconsciously assume that “powder” equals explosion just by seeing it.
Unless someone, out of boredom, stands at the top of a relatively enclosed building in a sewage treatment plant, spreads bags and bags of powder to deliberately create a highly concentrated cloud of powder smoke, and then lights it with fire. Otherwise, a deflagration incident is impossible to occur during the normal addition process of the wastewater treatment unit.
