Is learning pipe fitting helpful for process technicians?
Learning anything is helpful, but it comes at a cost, especially in terms of time. It’s hard to say whether the input-output ratio is satisfactory; those who are reluctant to do piping work and are studying piping should take the time to learn process knowledge
Of course, many changes in process parameters stem from issues related to the layout of the pipes, such as U-turns and the formation of air pockets. Only process technicians who are familiar with piping can identify and resolve problems more quickly, and determine whether the pipe layout meets the requirements of the process
