Latest Progress on Rongsheng New Materials Project: Recently, all 16 large-scale spherical tanks for Rongsheng New Materials (Zhoushan) Co., Ltd.’s Jintang New Materials Project, which were manufactured by Lansi Heavy Equipment, were successfully completed, marking a significant advancement in the construction of the project’s core storage and transportation facilities. This progress lays the foundation for the subsequent installation of equipment and the timely commissioning of the project. This project is a key benchmark initiative for the new materials industry in the Zhoushan region; it involves the construction of 27 main processing units and 16 utility systems, with a focus on developing high-end chemical product chains such as low-carbon polyolefins, fine chemicals, high-performance resins, engineering plastics, biodegradable plastics, special polyurethanes, and new fiber materials. LANSI Heavy Equipment manufactured 8 3000 m³ ethylene spherical tanks and 8 3000 m³ propylene spherical tanks for the project; these tanks serve as the key facilities for storing and transporting raw materials and products, and they are among the first sets of facilities to be put into use in the project. During the construction process, Lansi Heavy Equipment’s spherical tank project division adhered to the principles of high-standard construction and high-quality project execution. It overcame the challenges posed by weather conditions such as thunderstorms and typhoons in island environments, carefully assessed risks, conducted emergency drills for all employees, and strengthened safety measures. To address the issue of wet environmental conditions affecting welding quality, strict management of the entire welding preheating and post-heating process is implemented to ensure that the welding quality of tanks meets the required standards. An innovative dual-machine lifting technique is adopted to precisely control the lifting angle and force balance, enabling efficient installation of spherical tanks. At present, the three ethylene spherical tanks that have been welded complete – the first one passed the TOFD non-destructive testing with a grade of 1, requiring no repairs at all, which fully demonstrates Lansi Heavy Equipment’s high level of meticulous management and excellent construction quality. The spherical tank project division stated that it will continue to uphold strict safety standards and maintain high quality control, advancing the welding work on the remaining spherical tanks in a steady, efficient manner. It is committed to ensuring the early commissioning of the project and contributing to the high-quality development of the regional new materials industry.
