I would like to solve a problem related to control: when the material in our reactor (which is equipped with a mixer, a reducer with a speed ratio of 17, and an 11KW explosion-proof motor) heats up, foam forms, and the liquid level rises; if it exceeds a certain height, the material can spill out of the system; (At present, it is monitored manually, but mistakes still occur from time to time.) Is it possible to detect the foam level without coming into contact with the material (the material is highly acidic, with a maximum temperature of 130 degrees)? It would also work if contact is necessary, but the device must be resistant to acid and high temperatures. When the temperature rises above a certain level, it is interlocked with the steam valve, which directly closes the steam control valve; when the temperature is below that level, the steam control valve opens automatically. My solvents for the materials are things like methanol, and I also need to use explosion-proof instrumentation. I would appreciate guidance from professionals in automatic control; thank you.

In my experience, this bubble is not easy to detect. The instability of the foam is too high, making it very easy to get false positives in testing.
Are you testing the foam? Is it the liquid level below the foam?

If it is necessary to measure the liquid level of the material beneath the foam, a guided wave radar level gauge can be used as it has an excellent ability to suppress foam.
