The factory has a phosphorus storage tank with a maximum pressure of 0.2 MPA; the temperature is maintained at around 60°C. Water is in the upper layer while yellow phosphorus is in the lower layer. During continuous production, as long as the temperature is maintained, yellow phosphorus remains in a liquid state; it turns solid when the temperature drops below 44°C. The side-mounted glass plate level gauges that were used in the past had low accuracy and posed certain safety risks (they have been in use for 6 years). I now wish to accurately measure the level of yellow phosphorus in this tank; I would appreciate any successful experiences that could be shared. Thank you.
Glass plate level gauges are more intuitive; what you have isn’t a level gauge at all – you need an interface gauge

If it’s only needed for in-situ use, then apart from glass plates, magnetic flip valves are the option; a magnetic flip valve float, once manufactured, can also be used to detect interfaces.

It is very difficult for a single meter to achieve accurate measurement under such operating conditions; two meters must be used for measurement. Additionally, the tank must be regular in shape and come with calibration data. With proper effort, it can reach level 0.1. Of course, a measurement plan cannot be explained in just a few sentences; it requires detailed design, and in particular, certain details must be handled properly – this is something that can be discussed.
