What are the requirements for the straight pipe section of a turbine flowmeter? And should the filter located before the flowmeter also be considered part of the straight pipe section?
Filters are not included in the straight pipe section....
Once one understands the function of the straight pipe section, it becomes clear that its role is to ensure that the flow state of the medium before passing through the flow meter is that of a fully developed pipe flow, thereby meeting the measurement requirements of the flow meter. The flow channels inside the filter interfere with the flow pattern of the medium, so filters cannot be considered part of the straight pipe section.
