Installation issues with Siemens STEP7-Micro/WIN software

I’m seeking advice from everyone. On my Win10 system, I have a virtual machine with Win XP installed, and on that virtual machine I tried to install the Siemens STEP7-Micro/WIN software. The installation stopped at 90% completion; when I tried to install it again, it prompted me to uninstall it first, but I was unable to do so. Now I can neither install the software nor uninstall the part that has already been installed. I really don’t know what to do. I also tried deleting it from the registry; it was possible to install it afterward, but installation stopped after less than half of the process, for some reason I don’t know. I don’t know how to solve it either. That sea friend helped me think of a solution; thank you so much!
Install a clean XP system in the virtual machine
I’m using an installation disk, not a Ghost one
After 90% of the installation is complete and the system appears to be stable, open the Task Manager in the virtual machine. There will be a process starting with S7ex, occupying around 100 MB of memory; ending this process will allow the installation to proceed. Once the installation is finished, the system can be used normally.
Now it won’t clean up no matter what; it wasn’t installed completely before, and now it can’t be installed either
Step 1: Locate the MicroWIN directory and delete it (default path: C:\Program Files\Siemens\STEP 7 MicroWIN). Step 2: In the registry, under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall, find {D668B8E1-B877-4BDC-B7F6-8C7568297884} and delete it, then restart the computer.
