Proper installation of electrical valve positioners Attention! It was not installed correctly. If installed improperly, it may cause damage to the device or impair its functionality. ·Ensure the device is not visibly damaged before installation. ·Ensure that the process connectors are clean, and use appropriate washers and gland plates. ·Use the appropriate tools to install the equipment. Please refer to the information in “Construction”. Attention! Protection type lost. If the cabinet is opened or not closed properly, it will damage the equipment. The protection type specified on the nameplate or in the technical data is no longer guaranteed. Ensure the device is properly shut down. Attention! Frozen exhaust ports: When electrical valve positioner equipment is used, exhaust ports ②, ③, and ④ will freeze. The device’s functionality has been impaired. ·Do not position it with the base plate ① facing up without installation. data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAPABAP///wAAACH5BAEKAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAICRAEAOw== ①Chassis ②Ventilation for the exhaust outlet housing ③Sound absorber for the exhaust outlet ④Pneumatic connection to the nearby exhaust outlet The electrical valve actuator is installed on the linear actuator. For linear actuators, use the “Linear Actuator” installation kit or integrated accessories. Depending on the type of actuator selected, you will need different installation components. The installation kit is suitable for strokes ranging from 3 to 35 mm. For a larger travel range, you need to order a lever separately. Electrical valve positioners installed on rotary actuators of the partial rotation type require a VDI/VDE3845 mounting bracket specific to that actuator in order to install the positioner on it. The mounting bracket and screws can be obtained from the actuator manufacturer. Ensure that the thickness of the metal plate of the mounting plate is >4mm and it is reinforced. A mounting kit or stainless steel coupling is also required.
