It’s a 32-inch pipe with 50-inch flanges; how should the pressure transmitter be connected? Guys, I don’t understand it
Was it written wrong? It should be 32, not 50

Find the instrument installation diagram provided by the design institute to determine what type of connection the pressure transmitter uses (flange or thread). 1. Threaded connection: A ball valve can be installed at the pressure tapping on the pipeline for isolation, after which a transition fitting is welded; the threads of the pressure tapping are connected to the pressure transmitter (a two-valve assembly can be used in between to facilitate maintenance) ； 2. Flange connection: pressure tapping ports, manual valves, flanges; the pressure transmitter should also have flanges. Here, a 50-mm flange is used for taking pressure readings from pipes with a diameter of 32 mm – which is quite strange; it’s necessary to consult the design installation drawings.
It’s normal operation for a DN32 pipeline; however, for diaphragm transmitters we generally use DN50 flanges uniformly, so a DN50 connection is created on the pipeline to install the transmitter
Just add a flanged reducer
