Multiple petrochemical enterprise projects have been included in the list of projects to be developed into **-level smart factories. On December 4, reporters learned from the Information Office of Sinopec that on November 27, at the 2025 World Intelligent Manufacturing Conference held in Nanjing, six ministries and commissions including the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology jointly announced the list of the first 15 projects to be developed into leading-level smart factories. Sinopec Zhenhai Refining & Chemical Co., Ltd. is the only refining and chemical enterprise on this list. Within the 2024 Smart Factory Development Initiative, Sinopec’s enterprises including Tianjin Petrochemical, Yangzi Petrochemical, Jiujiang Petrochemical, Zhongke Refining & Chemical, Guangzhou Petrochemical, Beihai Refinery, and Zhenhai Refinery had their projects included in the list of the first batch of excellence-level smart factory projects.
