In August 2017, Shaanxi Province produced 49.1606 million tons of raw coal, an increase of 6.3447 million tons compared to the previous year, representing a rise of 14.82%; on a month-to-month basis, production increased by 2.5603 million tons, corresponding to a growth rate of 5.49%, according to the China Phosphorus Coal Industry Network. From January to August 2017, Shaanxi Province produced a total of 326.6426 million tons of raw coal, an increase of 45.3621 million tons compared with the previous year, representing a growth rate of 16.13%. Among them, central-state-owned coal mines in Shaanxi produced 62.171 million tons of raw coal, an increase of 4.3015 million tons compared to the previous year, representing a rise of 7.43%; province-owned coal mines produced 89.4608 million tons of raw coal, with an increase of 11.2348 million tons year-on-year, resulting in a growth rate of 14.36%; while city and county-owned coal mines produced 175.0108 million tons of raw coal, an increase of 29.8258 million tons compared to the previous year, corresponding to a growth rate of 20.54%.
