It is understood that the three parties have agreed to build a project to convert 3.6 million tons of methanol into 1.4 million tons of olefins, a project to produce 450,000 tons of methionine, as well as a project for raising 6 million pigs along with related planting, feed, and slaughtering facilities. The total investment for the project is approximately 72 billion yuan, of which 60 billion yuan is allocated to the coal chemical industry project. The project covers an area of 4,000 mu, and the construction period is expected to be six years. Once operational, it is projected to generate an annual output value of 40 billion yuan ； The total investment in this agricultural industry chain project is around 12 billion yuan, with a land area of about 500,000 mu; upon completion, it is expected to generate an annual output value of around 30 billion yuan. Vice Mayor Ma Yongfei, Banner Chief Wang Bing, and the representative of Dongfang Hope Group in Ordos jointly signed the cooperation and investment agreement. Vice Mayor Ma Yongfei said at the signing ceremony that Dongfang Hope Group Co., Ltd. is a large private enterprise headquartered in Pudong, Shanghai, and is a leading player in the coal chemical industry as well as in the agricultural supply chain sector in China. Dalat Banner is located in the central part of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, boasting favorable transportation links, as well as abundant coal mines, land, and water resources.
