The methanol market in Henan region remained stable; at the start of the week, a cautious attitude dominated, resulting in a weak trading atmosphere in the market. It is also understood that traders in Luoyang are quoting around 1,960 yuan per ton. Shanxi Jinmei Tianyuan is offering methanol at 1,940 yuan per ton. The methanol production facility with a capacity of 100,000 tons per year produces 100 tons per day, and sales are steady. Methanol producers in southern Shandong are facing poor sales, with retail prices for companies in that region dropping by 20–30 yuan to around 2020–2030 yuan per ton ； Traders are quoting around 2,010 yuan per ton for the Linyi area without invoices; demand support is weak, and traders are becoming more cautious. The methanol market in the Hubei and Hunan regions is weakening, with weak demand from downstream users. In Hubei, the prevailing negotiation price is 2120–2150 yuan per ton; this represents the ex-plant prices of major manufacturers at the lower end, while some traders in Wuhan offer higher prices ； In the Hunan region, some negotiation prices are around 2,250–2,300 yuan per ton, with most of these quotes coming from traders in Changsha. The methanol market in the southwest region remains stable; there is a strong atmosphere of caution at the start of the week, with prices falling in nearby markets. Operators are cautious in their attitudes. Currently, the main selling price for some enterprises in Sichuan and Chongqing is around 1980–2100 yuan per ton ； Affected by the surrounding market conditions, some traders in Sichuan and Chongqing are discussing prices around 2,030–2,100 yuan per ton (for low-end products without invoices). The spot market for methanol in Fujian is operating in a weak condition; the spot prices in the main storage areas of Quangang are around 2,280 yuan per ton, while those in Xiamen are around 2,300 yuan per ton. Trading activity is sluggish.
