Handover ceremony for the 200,000-ton/year FTO synthesis project undertaken by Sanju Environmental Protection / Author/Source: Date: 2019-01-04 Clicks: 48 On December 27, 2018, a handover ceremony was held for the 200,000-ton/year FTO synthesis project of Inner Mongolia Jushi Energy Co., Ltd., which is overseen by Sanju Environmental Protection (300072). This project is the largest cobalt-based fixed-bed FTO synthesis facility of its kind in China. It involves 48 individual construction projects, with 1,190 pieces of equipment; the length of pipeline installations is over 290,000 meters. The area covered is 516 mu, and it can create more than 800 job opportunities. The CCCC meeting was chaired by Wang Ningsheng, vice president of Sanju Environmental Protection and the overall project leader. Bai Erping, Deputy Director of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Haidian District, Beijing; Liu Yang, Executive Deputy General Manager of Beijing Haidian State-owned Investment and Operation Co., Ltd.; Xu Yuan, representative of the State-owned Assets Center of Haidian District; Kong Degui, Secretary of the Party Working Committee of the High-tech Industry Development Zone in Alxa League, Inner Mongolia; and Liu Lei, Chairman of Beijing Sanju Environmental Protection New Materials Co., Ltd., attended this meeting. This project is located in Alxa League, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The Fischer-Tropsch synthesis unit employs a fixed-bed Fischer-Tropsch synthesis process using cobalt-based catalysts developed by the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences; these catalysts are combined with those produced by Sanmu Environmental Protection. It is connected to upstream projects for coke gas production, and through the Fischer-Tropsch synthesis process, it manufactures high-end products such as 200,000 tons per year of synthetic waxes and environmentally friendly solvent oils. Side-stream tests were conducted at the coking unit of Qitaihe Longpeng Company in early 2016. In September 2016, qualified FTO synthesis oil and FTO wax products were produced via this side stream; the quality of these products was excellent, far superior to that of petroleum-based counterparts, marking a complete success for the side-stream tests. The Fertile Synthesis unit: The construction of this project officially began on April 12, 2016. In July of this year, the project entered its critical phase. The allocation of 500 million yuan in special funds by Haidian State Assets provided strong support for the successful completion of the project. Due to the weather conditions, the Mengxi area entered winter construction mode in mid-October. All employees of the project department, along with the construction workers, worked and rested together, staying at the construction site to push forward the progress of the work, overcome various difficulties, and successfully meet the delivery deadline by the end of the year.
