Yan’an Petroleum’s major project – the installation phase has begun for the large equipment used in the Yuenenghua facility. On May 22, the first batch of core equipment for the 300,000 tons per year LDPE/EVA production facility under the Yuenenghua company’s improvement project, namely the primary and secondary compressors, arrived at the construction site ahead of schedule and were delivered to the general contractor. This saved valuable time for equipment installation. It is understood that the production cycle for this equipment is as long as 16 months; it is a core component of LDPE/EVA plants and serves as the \"central nervous system\" of such plants. It is manufactured by Buchhard Compressors in Switzerland. It features high motor power and high operating pressure, and is classified as an ultra-high pressure device; the entire set of equipment weighs 600 tons. At present, the Polyolefins Center of Yulin Energy Chemical Company is working together with the general contractor to take advantage of the current golden period for project construction. By organizing tasks carefully and carrying out construction in a scientific manner, and while ensuring safety and quality, all necessary preparations are being made prior to the installation of the compressors, so as to ensure its smooth installation. The completion and improvement project for the first phase of Yulin Energy Chemical Complex is a key initiative aimed at implementing the requirements set by the Shaanxi Provincial Party Committee and the provincial government to \"enhance the demonstration effect of the comprehensive utilization projects for coal, oil, and gas resources in Jingbian\", as well as the goals of Yan’an Petroleum Group regarding \"changing development models and adjusting industrial structures\". With an investment of 14.413 billion yuan, this project will use coal and natural gas as raw materials to build integrated facilities capable of producing 1.8 million tons per year of methanol, 600,000 tons per year of olefins from methanol, 400,000 tons per year of polypropylene, and 300,000 tons per year of low-density polyethylene/Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate copolymer (LDPE/EVA). The project is scheduled to be completed and put into operation in 2020, at which time Yueneng Chemical’s polyolefin production capacity will increase to 1.8 million tons per year.
