In June, China Coal Energy produced 129,000 tons of polyolefins; there are 7 projects under construction or in the planning stage, with a total olefin production capacity of 5.75 million tons. In June, polyethylene production was 66,000 tons, while sales were 68,000 tons, representing year-on-year changes of 0.0% and -20.0%, respectively; month-on-month changes were 0.0% and 3.0%, respectively. From January to June, the cumulative production was 389,000 tons, while sales amounted to 378,000 tons, representing year-on-year changes of 2.4% and -0.5%, respectively. In June, polypropylene production was 63,000 tons, while sales were 58,000 tons, representing year-on-year changes of 0.0% and -3.3%, respectively; month-on-month changes were -1.6% and -10.8%, respectively. From January to June, the cumulative production was 374,000 tons, while sales amounted to 378,000 tons, representing year-on-year changes of 4.8% and 8.6%, respectively. It can be seen that in June, the total production of polyolefins was 129,000 tons, while sales amounted to 126,000 tons. The year-on-year changes were 0.0% and -13.1%, respectively; the month-on-month changes were -0.8% and -3.8%, respectively. From January to June, the cumulative production was 763,000 tons, while sales amounted to 756,000 tons, representing year-on-year changes of 3.5% and 3.8%, respectively. In June, urea production was 10,000 tons, while sales amounted to 137,000 tons; the year-on-year changes were -94.0% and -28.3%, respectively. The month-on-month changes were -94.7% and -33.8%, respectively. From January to June, the cumulative production was 866,000 tons, while sales amounted to 1.145 million tons; the year-on-year changes were -13.1% and -11.0% respectively. In June, methanol production was 0.01 million tons, while sales were 2.0 million tons; the year-on-year changes were -100.0% and -64.3% respectively, and the month-on-month changes were -100.0% and -150.0% respectively. From January to June, the cumulative production was 289,000 tons, while sales amounted to 267,000 tons; the year-on-year changes were -27.9% and -29.4% respectively. The announcement states that due to various factors, including but not limited to **macro-policy adjustments, changes in domestic and international market conditions, severe weather and disasters, equipment maintenance and repairs, safety inspections, and changes in the geological conditions of coal mines**, there can be significant variations in the reported production and operation figures from one month to another. In recent years, with the development of modern coal chemical industry, China National Coal Group has made significant efforts to engage in coal-to-olefins projects, focusing on the construction of large-scale coal chemical bases in regions such as Inner Mongolia and Shaanxi, as well as Shanxi. To date, China National Coal Group, including its subsidiaries and joint ventures, has 5 olefin companies that are in operation, under construction, or planned, with 7 projects in total, resulting in an overall olefin production capacity of 5.75 million tons. These include China Coal Yulin Energy & Chemical Co., Ltd. (Phases I and II), Inner Mongolia China Coal Mengda New Energy & Chemical Co., Ltd., Shaanxi Yanchang China Coal Yulin Energy & Chemical Co., Ltd. (Phases I and II), Zhongtian Hechuang Energy Co., Ltd., and China Coal Pingshuo Group Co., Ltd. The projects included in China Coal Group’s 13th Five-Year Plan are: the 1 million-ton per year methanol production project for the second phase of the Ordos Tuk Industrial Zone; the 600,000-ton per year olefin production project for Shaanxi Yanchang China Coal Yulin Energy Chemical Co., Ltd. (Phase II), as well as another 600,000-ton per year olefin production project for China Coal Shaanxi Yulin Energy Chemical Co., Ltd. (Phase II); and the 600,000-ton per year coal-to-ethylene glycol production project at China Coal Pingshuo.
