Review Meeting for the Preliminary Design of the Desulfurization, Dust Removal, and Denitration Systems for the Thermal Power Unit in Shaanxi Yulin Energy’s Ethylene Glycol Production Project Held Author/Source: Huahua Network – Coal Chemicals Date: 2020-09-19 Clicks: 24 From September 14th to 15th, a review meeting for the preliminary design of the desulfurization, dust removal, and denitration systems for the thermal power unit in Shaanxi Yulin Energy Group Co., Ltd.’s first-phase ethylene glycol production project, which has an annual capacity of 400,000 tons, was held in Nanjing. Participants included representatives from Saiding Engineering Co., Ltd., Nanjing Longyuan Environmental Protection Co., Ltd., Shen Yuncheng, the chief engineer of Yulin Energy Chemical Company, as well as other technical experts. At the meeting, Nanjing Longyuan Environmental Protection Co., Ltd. presented the preliminary design plan for the integrated desulfurization, dust removal, and denitrification projects of this initiative. The attendees conducted thorough discussions and careful reviews of various aspects of this design plan, including the overall approach, processes, electrical and instrumentation systems, safety and environmental protection measures, occupational health considerations, as well as site layout and transportation issues, and formulated corresponding review opinions. At the end of the meeting, Shen Yuncheng highly praised Nanjing Longyuan Environmental Protection Co., Ltd. for its proactive cooperation and the progress made in the design work. He urged them to continue working hard to further refine and optimize all aspects of the design, emphasizing that under the current environmental protection policies, it is necessary to complete the project design with high standards, high quality, and high efficiency, so as to ensure that the subsequent detailed design for the environmental protection components of the project meets the requirements of the project construction schedule. The first phase of the project to produce 400,000 tons per year of ethylene glycol as part of Shaanxi Yulin Energy Group Co., Ltd.’s 1.2 million tons per year coal-based ethylene glycol production capacity, is a project that marks the start of operations at the coal-based clean fuel and high-end chemical materials manufacturing bases located in the Qingshui Industrial Park of the Yushen Industrial Zone. The total planned land area for this project is 1,711 mu, with an investment amount of nearly 6 billion yuan required; the construction period is expected to be 30 months, and completion and operation are scheduled for June 2022. The project construction includes a gasification unit, a purification unit, an H2/CO separation unit, an ethylene glycol unit, etc. The utility systems and supporting auxiliary facilities include: 3×350t/h high-temperature and high-pressure circulating fluidized bed boilers + 2×30MW back-pressure steam turbine generator sets, air separation units, circulating water stations, desalination stations, storage and transportation facilities, sewage treatment plants, etc. The gasification unit employs the Corning coal gasification technology and includes 2 coal gasifiers ； The ethylene glycol plant utilizes Zhongke Yuandong’s ethylene glycol technology.
