Tang Yi, Deputy Secretary of the Wuhai Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, and Xiao Fei, General Manager of Guangna Group, signed on behalf of both parties a strategic investment framework agreement for a coal coking integrated production project with an annual capacity of 5 million tons. The project will be funded and constructed by Guangna Group, and it is located in the Low-Carbon Industrial Park in Hainan District, Wuhai City. The scale of the construction includes a coal coking integrated production project with an annual capacity of 5 million tons, as well as related supporting equipment, facilities, and auxiliary infrastructure. Guangna Group will introduce automated, information-based, and intelligent process equipment, aiming to build a large-scale coal coking enterprise with advanced equipment, cutting-edge processes, a complete industrial chain, and features such as energy conservation and emission reduction. Wuhai City **will provide strong support for the project in terms of the construction of related infrastructure such as water supply, drainage, power supply, gas supply, heating, and roads. Inner Mongolia Guangna Coal Industry Group Co., Ltd. was established on January 13, 2010, with a registered capital of 1.5 billion yuan. The group operates 13 coal mines in total, holds resource reserves of 167 million tons, and has a designed production capacity of 9.6 million tons per year. The group currently has five heavy medium coal washing plants, with one more under construction. Once completed, the total annual coal washing capacity of all the group’s coal washing plants will reach 13.5 million tons. The group owns two coking plants, both of which employ the advanced JT5555D type bottom-firing dual-chamber waste-gas recirculating regenerative ramming coking process. It can produce 2.1 million tons of coke, 80,000 tons of tar, 26,000 tons of crude benzene, 26,000 tons of ammonium sulfate, 4,000 tons of sulfur, and 400 million cubic meters of gas per year.
