Pu Jing Chemical Signs Contract for 400,000 Tons/Year Ethylene Glycol Project with Xinjiang Wangjing Long Author/Source: Pu Jing Chemical Date: October 28, 2020 Clicks: 10 On October 22, 2020, Shanghai Pu Jing Chemical Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Pu Jing Chemical”) signed a contract for the technical process package related to the production of 400,000 tons of ethylene glycol per year from syngas, with Xinjiang Wangjing Long New Materials Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Wangjing Long New Materials”). Pu Jing Chemical is a provider of catalysts and complete process technologies. Its technology for producing ethylene glycol from syngas has undergone years of industrial application and improvement, and it has gained widespread recognition in the industry in terms of catalyst performance and product quality. To date, 14 units of such ethylene glycol production facilities based on syngas have been licensed. The Wangjing Long Chemical High-End New Materials Project is located in the Shangku High-Tech Industrial Development Zone in Korla City, Bayingolin Mongol Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang, within the Korla Petroleum and Petrochemical Industrial Park. The project covers a total area of 3,875 mu. Plans are in place to build a PBAT plant with an annual production capacity of 1.3 million tons, an ethylene glycol plant with a capacity of 400,000 tons, a oxamide plant with a capacity of 500,000 tons, and a polyoxymethylene plant with a capacity of 200,000 tons. The total investment is expected to exceed 30 billion yuan.
