On October 25th, the main building for the power station in Ningxia Kunpeng Clean Energy’s project to produce 400,000 tons of ethylene glycol per year was completed, marking another important milestone in the construction of this project. The main plant building has a frame that is 42 meters high, 36 meters wide, and 151 meters long; it has a total of 8 floors. The maximum span is 22.5 meters, while the maximum floor height is 29 meters. With the completion of the main plant structure, the roof of the main plant has been finished; the power station project has also reached a number of key milestones, including the completion of the boiler frame structure, the installation of the steam drum, the completion of the absorption tower, and the completion of the chimney. Currently, 80% of the heating surface installation for Boiler No. 1 has been completed, with the first boiler expected to be started up in March 2021. The power station project of Ningxia Kunpeng Clean Energy Co., Ltd. commenced construction on March 1, 2020. The capacity of the first phase consists of 2×480/h circulating fluidized bed boilers + 2×40MW back-pressure steam turbine units + 1×40MW condensing turbine unit. The project adheres to the principle of generating electricity based on heat produced by cogeneration units, making full use of the waste heat steam from chemical plants to achieve maximum energy recovery. Ningxia Kunpeng Clean Energy Co., Ltd. was established in August 2018 and is a key enterprise for the production of high-quality clean energy in the Ningdong area. The company has partnered with Ningdong Investment Company to build a project capable of producing 400,000 tons of ethylene glycol per year, with a total investment of 4.3 billion yuan. The project is located in the Chemical New Materials Park of the Ningdong area in Ningxia.
