The two parties will carry out collaborative projects in the areas of hydrogen production, transportation, and the construction and operation of hydrogen refueling stations, and will leverage their respective strengths and resources to continuously improve the development of the hydrogen and fuel cell industry chain. Han Xueling, representative of Sinopec Anhui Branch and Party Committee secretary, Cha Xianshuang, general manager, and Wang Zhaoyun, chairman of Mingtian Hydrogen Energy Company, were among those who witnessed the signing ceremony. Shi Xianyang, deputy general manager of Sinopec Anhui Branch, and Zhang Jian, deputy general manager of the marketing center of Tomorrow Hydrogen Energy Company, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective parties. Dawang Yun pointed out that on February 2 this year, the State Council issued the \"Guiding Opinions on Accelerating the Establishment of a Green, Low-Carbon, and Circular Economic System,\" which mentioned the \"3060 goal\" and linked the development of the hydrogen energy industry closely to the goals of \"reaching carbon peak\" and \"achieving carbon neutrality.\" Against this backdrop, Anhui Petroleum took proactive action with a long-term vision, demonstrating the soundness and correctness of its approach. Tomorrow, Hydrogen Energy Company, as a key leading enterprise in Anhui Province’s hydrogen and fuel cell industry that receives significant support for its development, boasts domestically leading technologies in fuel cells as well as the capability to industrialize such technologies. It holds strong core advantages, competitiveness, and resource integration capabilities in all aspects of the industry chain, including fuel cell research and development, industrial production, fuel cell applications and hydrogen energy applications, as well as the construction and operation of hydrogen refueling stations. At present, the maximum driving distance per fuel cell bus actually in operation in Lu’an has reached 70,000 kilometers. The signing of the strategic cooperation agreement between Anhui Petroleum and Anhui Tomorrow Hydrogen represents a concrete step taken by Anhui Petroleum to implement Sinopec’s strategy of becoming China’s leading hydrogen energy company. In the future, it will play an important role in the development of the hydrogen energy industry in Anhui and across the country. Han Xueling said that in recent years, Anhui Petroleum has, in accordance with the unified directives of Sinopec Group and in line with the development plans for new energy industries in Anhui Province and its cities, accelerated the establishment of new energy service stations for vehicles across the province. It has also strived to create a new type of comprehensive energy service network that includes oil, gas, hydrogen, electricity, and other energy sources, thereby contributing to green transportation in Anhui. Han Xueling emphasized that thanks to Anhui’s well-developed automotive industry infrastructure, the hydrogen energy sector in the region is in a period of rapid growth. Cooperation among various industries is increasing, and the industrial chain and ecosystem are rapidly taking shape and improving, offering great potential for future development. Collaborating with Anhui Mingtian Hydrogen Energy in the field of hydrogen energy applications, leveraging the strengths of each company to strengthen Anhui’s hydrogen energy industry chain, and jointly building and sharing a hydrogen energy consumption ecosystem are not only necessary for both parties to explore new markets at present, but also represent their common goals for development.
