The lifting of large-scale equipment for the CarbonXin Technology coke oven gas comprehensive utilization project in Huaibei, Anhui, was successfully completed. On May 5, the upper section of the methanol washing tower, which is part of the large-scale equipment for this project, was successfully lifted into place. Thus, the lifting task of the large-scale equipment for the project has been successfully completed. The methanol washing tower is 79.912 meters in height and weighs 370 tons; it is the tallest and heaviest large-scale equipment among the purification units of this project. Anhui Carbonxin Technology Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Huaibei Mining Group. The comprehensive utilization project for coke oven gas is located in the Linxun Industrial Park, Hancun Town, Suixi County, Huaibei City, Anhui Province. A contract was signed with Donghua Technology worth 1.367 billion yuan, with a construction period of 22 months. The scope of the contract includes a turnkey EPC project covering the 2,000 tons/day powder gasification unit, the 500,000 tons/year methanol synthesis unit, as well as related auxiliary facilities. The 500,000 tons per year methanol production project via comprehensive utilization of coke oven gas is one of the third-phase projects under the \"Comprehensive Utilization of Coke Oven Gas Project\" planned and implemented by Huaibei Mining Group. It aims to make full use of the hydrogen-rich off-gases from the existing two 400,000 tons per year methanol production units at Linhuan Coking Plant; by adding carbon through coal-to-gas conversion, an additional unit with a capacity of 500,000 tons per year for methanol production will be established. This will result in an overall annual methanol production capacity of 900,000 tons, which will serve as raw material for extending the downstream olefin industry chain in the Anhui (Huaibei) new coal chemical synthesis materials base. The base is planned as a high-tech industrial park with coal-based synthetic materials and a circular economy as its strategic development directions.
