The total hydrogen production volume reaches 850,000 Nm3/h! Southwest Chemical Wins Bid for Large-Scale PSA Hydrogen Production Project Author/Source: Gasification World Date: May 10, 2021 Clicks: 19 A few days ago, Shandong Yulong Petrochemical Co., Ltd. issued a notice of award, stating that Southwest Chemical Research and Design Institute Co., Ltd. won all bids in the international tender for six large-scale PSA units as part of the 20 million tons per year integrated refining and chemical processing project (Phase I) on Yulong Island – namely units 1-4# PSA units, methanol-to-hydrogen PSA units, and coal-to-gas combined hydrogen production PSA units. The total hydrogen production capacity will be 850,000 Nm3/h. This is another success for Southwest Chemical in international bidding for large-scale PSA projects in oil refining projects of tens of millions of tons in scale; following its win in 2020 to supply the 600,000 Nm3/h ultra-large PSA hydrogen production unit for Hengyi Brunei Phase II, it has once again achieved a new record in terms of total hydrogen production volume. It is understood that over the years, Southwest Chemical has built more than 100 large-scale PSA units as part of various refining and petrochemical projects as well as coal chemical projects carried out by companies such as CNPC, Sinopec, CNOOC, Sinochem Quanzhou, Hengyi Brunei Petrochemicals, Shenhua Ordos Direct Liquefaction, Shenhua Ningxia Coal Indirect Liquefaction, and Shaanxi Coal Group. These units have enabled China to fully replace and surpass foreign PSA technologies, providing important technical support for the development of China’s oil refining and petrochemical industries on a scale of tens of millions of tons, as well as its coal chemical industries on a scale of millions of tons.
