On June 10, Xinjiang Jurong New Materials’ project to produce 300,000 tons of BDO and 500,000 tons of PBAT per year (with an initial capacity of 100,000 tons of BDO per year) was approved by the Development and Reform Commission of Luntai County. On May 11 this year, during the 5th Silk Road International Expo and China East-West Cooperation and Investment Trade Fair, Jurong Group signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the people of Bayingolin Mongol Autonomous Prefecture regarding the BDO project in which it plans to invest heavily. Leveraging its advantages in gas supply and production capacity, Juyong Group is expanding into the new field of fine chemical products using natural gas, and plans to invest 16 billion yuan to build a facility with an annual production capacity of 1 million tons of BDO. As a key investment attraction project in Bayingolin Mongol Autonomous Prefecture, Juyong Group signed an agreement with the people of the prefecture during the special promotion event for investment attraction projects there, becoming the fine chemical project with the largest investment amount at that event. Xinjiang Jurong New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. was established on May 28, 2021, and is a subsidiary wholly owned by Xinjiang Jurong Energy (Group) Co., Ltd.
