The pretreatment process using turbid-cycle membrane concentration in the Public Works Center of Datang Keqi Coal-to-Natural Gas Company relies on a mechanical accelerated clarification tank technology, which results in poor operability and resistance to disturbances; long-term operation leads to unstable water quality parameters, thereby severely affecting the safe and stable operation of the subsequent membrane treatment systems. Recently, the Public Works Center carried out renovation work to add inclined plate packing in the sedimentation area of the concentrated brine clarifier. In this renovation, honeycomb inclined plate fillers were added to the upper part of the sludge-water separation zone in each mechanical accelerated clarifier. By changing the water flow velocity and increasing the contact area, sludge-water separation is accelerated, the sedimentation efficiency is improved, and the quality standards of the effluent water are ensured to be met.
