Annual EPC general contracting tender completed! New projects to be built in Ningxia! Recently, a five-member delegation from Sinochem Research Institute of Chemical Technology visited Yinchuan and held friendly discussions with Ningxia Duoli New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. The two parties reached an agreement to jointly establish \"Ningxia Xibei Chemical Co., Ltd.\" in the Ningdong Energy and Chemical Industry Park in Ningxia, in order to build a project for the production of 110,000 tons per year of alcohol ether-based clean energy. The total planned investment for the project is 800 million yuan, and 200 mu of land for the project has been approved for use. Plan to build \"three major facilities\": ① A 50,000-ton/year DMMn fuel cleaner facility (accompanied by 160,000-ton/year formaldehyde and 130,000-ton/year methyl acetal facilities) ； ②20,000 tons per year of calcium acetylpropionate (along with facilities for 12,000 tons per year of acetylpropionate, 20,000 tons per year of acetic anhydride, and 20,000 tons per year of acetates) ； ③40,000 tons/year dimethyl carbonate plant. The above three projects, namely the “110,000-ton alcohol ether clean energy” project, have been registered simultaneously in the Ningdong Industrial Park in Ningxia. The project’s production line has seen the signing of contracts for the procurement of related process technologies. The EPC general contracting tender is scheduled to be conducted this year, with the design of construction drawings and the procurement of equipment to take place in 2022. Construction will begin in March 2023, with commissioning of the facility expected by December of the same year. The project is projected to generate an output value of 1.16 billion yuan and profits and taxes amounting to 161 million yuan. Alkyl ether fuels are a new type of fuel; they are produced by gasifying coal (whether it be raw coal, coalbed methane, or coke oven gas) to generate low-carbon oxygen-containing fuels such as methanol and dimethyl ether, which serve as alternatives to petroleum. As a clean energy source that uses coal as its main raw material, alcohol-ether fuel is a liquid fuel with properties similar to those of gasoline and diesel, enabling it to be used in a wider range of vehicles. Another advantage of alcohol-ether fuels is their environmental friendliness; when burned, they produce mainly water and carbon dioxide, making them less harmful to the environment. The implementation of this project in Ningxia not only aligns with the concept of **developing clean energy, but it also complements the local resources there, allowing those resources to be utilized to their full potential. Once the project is put into operation, the product will serve as a clean alternative to gasoline; it can help alleviate the pressure caused by rising oil prices in the market and reduce the emission of harmful substances from vehicles. It will play a positive role in accelerating the development and application of clean energy industries in China’s western region, contributing to the growth of such industries as part of the new approach to development in that area.
