Recently, the shift gas cooler 1401-E-001, part of the purification system in the methanol unit of Yushen Energy Chemical Company’s 500,000 tons per year coal-based ethanol project, was successfully installed. With this, all 415 pieces of equipment in the methanol unit have been installed, with the exception of three membrane separation units that have not yet arrived. It is reported that this equipment has a net weight of 108.4 tons and is classified as a Class III pressure vessel. It is primarily used for cooling the raw gas before it undergoes conversion, and it constitutes one of the key components of the purification system; its designed operating temperature ranges from -70°C to 70°C. The lifting is carried out using an 800-ton crawler crane as the main lifting device, with a 260-ton crawler crane serving as an auxiliary device for guiding the load. During the lifting process, supervisors provided ongoing oversight and guidance, and the operators cooperated effectively, resulting in a safe lift and accurate placement. The successful lifting of the shift gas cooler 1401-E-001 ensures the welding of subsequent pipelines, and also lays a solid foundation for the smooth handover of the facility.
