Linda’s large-scale coil-cooled methanol technology has achieved long-term stable operation in Zhejiang Petrochemical’s 400,000-ton methanol plant. The 400,000-ton/year methanol plant part of Zhejiang Petrochemical Co., Ltd.’s 40 million tons/year integrated refining and chemical processing project utilizes Linda Chemicals’ coil-cooled methanol technology. The methanol plant came online in January 2020 and has been operating stably for over two years now; it has passed 48-hour full-load operation tests. It produces 1,342 tons of crude methanol per day, with a crude methanol concentration of around 96%, while the output of refined methanol is 1,288 tons per day. The fresh gas consumption per ton of refined methanol is 2,193 Nm3, and all process parameters meet the design requirements. Coiled-tube reactors possess significant technical advantages in large-methanol production: they have compact dimensions and strong heat transfer capabilities, which allow for the optimal utilization of the catalyst’s activity and production capacity. They are fully capable of meeting the demands for domestic production of large-methanol reactors. Zhejiang Petrochemical Co., Ltd. is a mixed-ownership enterprise controlled by private investors with state-owned enterprises holding shares in it. The integrated refining and chemical processing project with an annual capacity of 40 million tons, constructed by the company (hereinafter referred to as the “Project”), is located within the Zhoushan Green Petrochemical Base. It serves as a key infrastructure for the China (Zhejiang) Free Trade Zone in developing a complete oil product industry chain and implementing the development strategy of “three bases and one center”.
